Germanic Warriors Shield Designs GERM 5

A Highly Intricate, Flexible, Well Thought Out Kit

These are an essential for anyone interested in barbarians, be it Celts, Germanics, Dacians, Vikings, Migration Era stuff, or even fantasy. While some of the bodies and heads are very period specific, the vast majority of unarmored bodies and heads fit right in anywhere from 400bc to 1100AD. They’d work perfectly as norsemen by swapping out for round shields, and a few of the rectangular shield wielders in my collection double as early medieval Slavs.

Great designs that add a lot to your figures

Good mix of designs, sizes and shapes to fit a variety of shields. I'd suggest getting a few different sheets so you can choose the ones that suit your figures best. It was a surprise to realise that these are not decals/transfers like old-school modellers may know well. They're basically stickers. You peel off the front, stick them on (one side is very sticky), and then wet and peel off the back. Ensure you paint the shield white (sounds strange at first but makes the colours "pop") and don't be tempted to add a bit of glue, like I did for the first one. It just makes the stickiness not work.
