This is 1 sheet of LBMS Romano British / Arthurian Shield Design 3. The sheet includes 12 shield transfers. These are designed to go with the Victrix Late Roman Infantry.
These shield designs represent the early Christian chi rho symbol and Celtic influences with a smattering of late Roman. The Romans pulled out of Britain in the 5th century AD but their influence continued with the local garrison troops left behind who were a mixture of indigenous British and settlers from the empire who did not leave.
I have just finished painting and these transfers bring my miniatures to life!
Superb as always!
Victrix have set up a cooperative venture with Little Big Men Designs for shield transfers specifically to fit their Early Anglo-Saxons and Late Romans (can also be used as Arthurians). There are a variety of shapes, such as small targes and larger round flat and domed shields for the Saxons and also round flat and domed plus oval shields for the Romanos. There are many varieties of design and colour combinations, including chi rho and Celtic designs for the Romano-Britons and the wilder British kingdoms of the north and west. These shield transfers really complete the 28mm figures. There is only one drawback: these Victrix specific transfers are only available from Victrix and the most popular are often out of stock.
These decals are beautifully detailed and a great enhancement to my figures.
Relatively easy to apply, even for curved shields they bring life and colour to my figures.
Shield designs are very colorful and very detailed - adds a look of authenticity to the models. The intricacy of the detail would be almost impossible to do with a paint brush at this scale. These are a big time saver.
