Late Roman Unarmoured Cavalry

12 x Late Roman Light Cavalry Figures

Reinforce your army with these exceptional additions to our Late Roman range. These finely detailed models pay homage to the fearless horsemen who played a vital role in Roman military strategy, excelling in scouting, relentless harassment of adversaries, and the pursuit of routed foes.

Recruited from all over the Empire, North Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Germania etc, some of these cavalrymen retained the distinctive national look such as the Equites Mauri Feroces “Ferocious Moors”! Or the Equites Mauri Alites “Swift Moors”! We have given these heads a North African look and given them a hairstyle very similar to the Numidians.

What you get:

  • 6 Sprues (3 rider sprues and 3 horse sprues) = 12 riders and 12 horses.
  • 3 Shield types, small round, large oval and medium sized oval. Enough to equip each figure in the set the same.
  • 39 Heads
  • Sword, Javelin and Spear arm options
  • Vexilum and Draco standard bearer options, plus musician arm options.

    Great figures

Another great set from Victrix- and the heads and other items are very compatible with other sets- so giving even more variation. These sets are now the gold standard for the period .

    Other possibilities

Hi the late Roman unarmoured cavalry and being made into a unit of late Roman/Byzantine lance and javelin armed cavalry, so I have put many in helmets taken from other unused spures, may be you could include some as alternative to the bare heads supplied.
They are starting to look good, so far I have the horses base coloured and I am starting to add shades and contrasts.

    Excellent product!!

This is a great kit. The detail is excellent and the parts go together well. The instructions minimal, but easy to understand. Also the number of options available is great too. It is easy to make each model look unique
